Required tools and supplies:

  • X-acto knife and fresh blade
  • A thin metal straight-edge ruler. Make fold lines by pressing against edge of the ruler.
  • Tweezers
  • Cutting mat
  • Detailing scissors (embroidery snips)
  • Fast-grab, quick-dry white craft glue that dries clear
  • Small piece of aluminum foil to use as a glue pot
  • Small artist's paint brush to apply glue

1.  Cut out the piece and fold at the logical joints. Use the metal straight-edge ruler to make folds.

2. Once folded, there are two side pieces that have 3 panels. The two outer panels are tabs. Paint glue to the printed surface of the two outer tabs. Do this on both sides of the clutch box.

3.  Use tweezers and press tight, flat bonds of the tabs to the respective inner blank surfaces of the clutch box.

4. Carefully fold the lid down.  Cut a length of ribbon, about 6 inches. At the center of the back of the clutch box, paint a very thin strip of glue. The ribbon with be glued down to that strip of glue. Place the middle point of the ribbon to the middle point of the glue strip.

5.  Once the ribbon's glue has dried thoroughly, you may tie a bow at the front of the clutch box.
